NEVER FORGET SREBRENICA   

                                         

   I chose this topic because I have an special interest about Balkan Countries particularly Bosnia . Bosnia was part of the Ottoman Empire until 1878 .I think we have very strong historical, social, cultural and human ties with Bosnia, and I want to remind everyone again Srebrenica genocide.

In the Bosnian silver-mining town of Srebrenica in July 1995, one of the most notorious modern acts of gendercide took place. While the international community and U.N. peacekeepers looked on, Serb forces separated civilian men from women and killed thousands of men en masse, or hunted them down in the forests.
    I don't know how much of you knows what happened to our brothers and sisters during the agresion on Bosnia and Herzegovina. his is horrible, how stupid the Bosnian Serbs were to do such a thing, and how stupid that whole war was here happened the biggest massacre on muslim people in Europe and also was one of the biggest in the world. My heart goes for shaheeds of town Srebrenica where were killed more than 8.000 muslim males ages 15-60 in one day. Mothers lost all of her sons, husbands, brothers, fathers... in one day . Womans were raped,killed.,slaughtered.
Every year on july 11, they exhumate and buried, about 500 bodies. Many of them are still not indentified, not found... And it will take them more than 10-15 up comming years to bury them all..
I think this event is the biggest war crime to take place in Europe since the end of the second world war. Srebrenica witnessed the most traumatic tragedy of recent history. Bosnians were killed because they were considered “Turkish.” That characteristic of the massacre affect my feelings deeply.I share deeply the grief of the families of the victims of the Srebrenica genocide committed in 1995 and strongly condemn once again this heinous crime against humanity that resulted in the murder of more than 8,000 of our Bosniac brothers

   I can never fully feel the pain that their families feel, but I share it with them.Although it has been 16 years since the massacre, Srebrenica is still mournful like a lamenting mother.

   I think it is very painful to understand how a human being can separate children from their mothers, husbands from their wives, brothers from their sisters and punish them to death, just for being different nation, religious.

   8,372 pair of shoes for 8,372 massacred me

  Reminding us of this bitter experience of the past, the Association of Bosniak Youth (Genç Bosnaklar Dernegi), made a project named "8372..." to condemn the role of the United Nations in the Srebrenica Genocide. Its aim is to collect 8,372 pairs of shoes that was presented in Taksim Square in Istanbul, Turkey from July 9-10, 2011                            

   July 11 marks the 16th anniversary of the genocide perpetrated by Serbs in Srebrenica, a town in Bosnia-Herzegovina. A protest has been held in İstanbul by the Young Bosnians Association to condemn the Srebrenica massacre. Protestors displayed 8,372 pairs of shoes to commemorate the 8, 372 victims of the massacre.
   It think i t is a really nice idea, because it is important to put something tangible in front of people. Thus, in order to portray genocide, you have to present concrete objects. I think that idea to collect shoes is a really good way for people to imagine what 8,372 murdered people means.

I chose this video because Couchsurfing has a great affect in my life.I discovered CS from an American boy who came my city when I was talking with him a cafe.I advice to all my friends to use Couchsurfing. CouchSurfing International Inc. is a corporation based in San Francisco that offer its users hospitality exchange and social networking services. Today a lot of people travel or host thanks to Couchsurfing In this video people answer that What CS means for them. Someone says that CS is a big experıence , other says it is a international connection , another says that it is learnıng lot of things or being a language lesson or meeting new people and fun. and I love Couchsurfing because I enjoy being able to immerse myself in the worlds of others, as this enables all of us to benefit from each others' shared novelties and broaden our horizons.

  Couchsurfing is truly traveling--not tourism. It is truly a beautiful experiment. After CS ,I learnt what about finding nice people everywhere and sharing nice experiences while traveling, learning from different cultures, traditions and languages in my hometown or while hosting. Not only have I had some absolutely amazing hosting experiences, but I have made countless life-long friends in every corner of the globe.I have a lot of different friends froM different countries like from USA,Polonia,France,Slovenia,Canada,Italy.etc. In the video we can see CouchSurfer's referance. I host appromaxıly 20-25 people and I use CS since 2010 summer. My mission is to share,to help, to meet, to discover all over the world. I love Couchsurfing ! :)

Exercise 1

We have a beagle that loves to hunt and we open he back door for her. She barrels down porch steps into the yard and runs back, forth across the lawn in ecstasy. ,Her nose cruises the wet grass for smells of cat,rabbit smells ,and other presences too subtle for human detection. While she sniffs, she spins her tail in quick circles. Firstly, It spins clokwise ,later spins counterclockwise.It always do these activities at the same times. We seem to propel her along.

FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO COLLEGE This is my freshman year and I ll more different than high scholl .I dont have to go to class all the time but I ll do my best about it. There are most responsibilities like studying more, managing time..etc. Homesickness is one of y problems.I miss my parents , sister, brother so much.Sometimes ,I make up an excuse for cry.Keeping myself busy,making new friends , shopping talking with a counselor are good ideas to deal with homesickness.I m a self-confident person and this can help me at my academic and social life.I m both achievement oriented student who wants to get good grades and sometimes deep student who is excited by leraning.Passive students focus on details but I m not ğassive , sometimes I do this.I try to use my study time effectively.About lonelines,I can say that I m not alone.Meeting new people , making new friendship arent very hard for me.I dont think college life ll be so hard for me than high school.

1.Every year a lot of international students come USA for its more effective education.
Generally,students are very glad to take education in USA. Accoding to Linxi and Krisha students have more opportunity,more beneficial,practical in US education than their country.for ex: Krisha say it based on creativity and team work.

2.Because they think that US education is better. for eX:Linxi decided to take more flexibilty education.Krishna say US education attract her attention.Arata say he used to study different country.

3.Each student talk about differences according to her/his country education system, Krishna like American school because of flexibility ,in herr country it is strict.Arata says people in the USA are more socialable.Linxi finds American towns are smaller and more quite than Chinese towns.

4.Students say it costs about 30.000 dollar for a year.According to Arata it depends on your major and the place you stay.

5.Every student has some adaptation problems in abroad. They have , too. for ex: culture shock of Krisha, communication difficulties of Linxi. and Arata is luckier than other because he becomes experienced by studying abroad before there.


6.Yes,they have.Cultural shock always have experienced by students who are going abroad for education. but later They get used to it.
yes,I ll be some difficulties like other student.maybe,I ll meet a very different people,environment. it ll be hard but it is really perfect life experience for me and I really wanna go abroad .
